Another toasty warm day on the PCT. Found Mike’s place and took refuge in the shade there while refilling water. I inserted myself into a gracious tramily of a few other hikers I met at the beginning of the weekend. These were the only 4 hikers I saw the whole trip.

I was dive-bombed by a couple of zealous hummingbirds, no doubt enamoured by my colourful hat! After a good long day in the heat, we all retired to camp near Thule Spring to scarf down our typical ramen dinner and cowboy camp under the stars.
