A Weekend on the PCT - Part 1

Back on trail at Warner Springs to put down some miles. I wanted to see what the vibe on trail was now that the covid restrictions are lessening, so I packed my bag and hopped back on trail right where I left off a couple months ago. It was night and day difference in conditions. The last time it was pouring rain and eventually snowing, and this time it was sunny and warm, without a cloud in the sky. The wildflowers were out in full force and I cowboy camped for the first time on trail! I ran into a few thru-hikers that had started about a week prior and were planning on continuing with their hike all the way. They were all carrying far more food than normal to limit resupply stops and were generally being very responsible.
